CIRAD – The Centre for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development

CIRAD – The Centre for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development is a French research institution working with developing countries to tackle international agricultural and development issues under the joint authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. CIRAD is working with research organizations and universities in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia to step up scientific exchanges and regionalize research operations centring on common agricultural development issues. Around 44 CIRAD researchers are working at national and regional research centres in Asia, higher education establishments and rural development organizations, backed up by short appraisal , research or teaching missions.
